Describe the market your business serves
Explain who your customers are, where they are based and how they choose your service. Share your offer, current website, competitors and useful examples. A website for local bookings needs different information from an international product catalogue.
For branding, describe where the identity will appear and whether it needs to work across more than one audience or language. Our logo and brand identity guide helps define the scope.
Agree communication and review times
Share your time zone and preferred contact method. Agree suitable meeting times, review milestones and who consolidates feedback. Assign one person to approve each stage so conflicting comments do not become competing instructions.
Ask how decisions are recorded and how urgent questions are handled. Avoid assuming either team is available around the clock; agree practical expectations before the project starts.
Make content and language responsibilities explicit
Identify who supplies text, images, product details and brand files. If several language versions are required, specify who writes, translates and approves them. Targeting Japan, Thailand, Europe or the Middle East does not automatically mean translation is included in a design project.
Share country-specific requirements that affect the build and identify who will review them. Payment methods, shipping areas and currencies should be confirmed for the actual store and providers, rather than assumed from the agency’s location.
Compare the complete written quote
Check deliverables, exclusions, revision rounds, schedule dependencies, billing currency and payment arrangements. Identify hosting, licences and ongoing support separately. Liquid Flame Design’s LKR starter estimator explains local website scopes; request a project-specific quote for international work.
Confirm ownership of accounts and the agreed final files. If the brief changes, agree the impact on cost and timing before additional work begins.
Plan a handover your team can use
List the accounts, files, documentation and agreed support your team needs after delivery. For a website, verify the contact route and review it on phones and desktop screens. For branding, check the agreed web and print files with the people who will use them.
Review our portfolio to assess the type of work we produce. Ask about the relevant scope and process; design examples alone do not establish sales or ranking results.
